Sites advertising a Vietnam digital nomad visa describe the ordinary e-visa under a name the government does not use, and some sell paid help with the online form. The statement that none exists comes from a third-party guide last updated 18 February 2026, so confirm with Vietnamese immigration if the detail matters to you.

Vietnam's ten-year Golden Visa is now available, so long stays are solved.
A third-party guide reports that a Golden Visa was proposed in April 2025 and says it was still a proposal when last updated on 18 February 2026. It reports a separate five-year Talent Visa as launched. We could not confirm either on an official page.
Where it wins
- A low fee and about three working days, with no financial disclosure on the pages we read.
- Applied for online before travel, so no embassy visit.
- Multiple entry is available, at a higher fee than single entry.
Where it doesn’t
- The official validity is a maximum of 90 days, so long stays mean repeated applications or border runs.
- It is a tourist-type visa. Remote work on it sits in a legal grey zone that Vietnam has not clarified.
- No residency path, no work permit and no dependant provision on the pages we read.
- The official pages say nothing about extending it, so check with Vietnamese immigration before relying on an extension.
